Rusty Gresham and Nik Poland were members of the World Class Athlete Program (WCAP). Nik was the #1 Lightweight in the United States and Rusty was the #2 Heavyweight in the United States. Both are  U.S. National and Grand Slam Champions.

Drawing on the same high quality instruction that was provided to us by both Grand Master Ray and Master Donna Smith, we strive to uphold their standards !

As most of you know, Grandmaster Smith has retired and is living his best life.

Club RSTKD is dedicated to Grand Master Ray Smith and Master Donna Smith. This club would not be here if it wasn't for their dedication to the sport of Tae Kwon Do. Those of us who had the privilege of knowing/training under them were truly blessed. We thank them for everything they have done for us and for the sport of Tae Kwon Do. 

​​Who we are...
We are a club meeting for the love of the sport. We are family oriented and try our best to incorporate a little fun while teaching Kukkiwon forms, One-Steps for self-defense, as well as proper sparring techniques.
Our instructors and administrators are all volunteers who hold Kukkiwon black belt certifications, just as before.
​Under Ray Smith's Tae Kwon Do, we are still South Carolina's most award winning Tae Kwon Do program at the State, National and International levels and are still based in Summerville, SC. 

Teaching, Instructing and Coaching has been one of the most rewarding experiences of our lives. We realized early on that it came with great responsibility and it demands great commitment. Our students can make improvements through a structured program of practice and measured performance and appropriate competition. All managed in a safe and fun environment through effective coaching. We help our students set and achieve goals. We understand what they want to achieve and create a place where we build on our students strength's and improve their weaknesses. 

All Master Instructors began their Taekwondo journeys under Grand Master Ray and Master Donna Smith at Ray Smith's Tae Kwon Do in Summerville, SC.
​All belts were earned under the watchful eyes of Grand Master Ray and are recognized by the Kukkiwon in Seoul, Korea.

Christian Kegg, DO - as a 3rd degree Black Belt, Christian is our Director. He facilitated the opening of Club RSTKD. He is a member of Fellowship Church, and they kindly allow us to use their Activities Building as our Dojang. Christian began his Taekwondo journey close to 10 years ago. He studied and earned all of his belts under GM Smith.
